Taysia C Davis
I graduated from Weiner High School in 2006. Then, I graduated college from Arkansas State University in 2010. Afterwards, I received my MAT from Lousiana College in 2013. I am currently working towards an Educational Specialist degree at Arkansas State for Educational Leadership.
My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Spanish. Also, I have a Masters in the Art of Teaching degree. My teaching certification is for grades Pre-K through 6, and Special Education for grades Pre-K through 12. Additionally, I am certified to teach the program Connections for dyslexic students.
In 2015, I started working as 3rd grade Resource teacher for University Heights Intermediate. I am starting my 2nd year with the Nettleton district. I teach Special Education Reading, Literacy Intervention, Math, and Language Arts.
I started teaching school in 2014. My first position was as a Kindergarten teacher in Killeen, Texas while my husband was serving in the Army. 2016 will be my 3rd year teaching.
I have been married to my husband for 5 years. We have 3 children, Cayden, Jagger, and Saylor, and are expecting another child in April of 2017. We live in Bay, outside of Jonesboro, which is my husband’s hometown. We have one pet, a crested gecko named Hopper.
My hobbies include shopping, and I collect fridge magnets from states we visit. When I am not teaching, I am looking on Pinterest for ideas in my classroom, or spending time with my family. We like to travel and our family enjoys keeping up with sports.
